Wakey ! Wakey! Dad’s
Army Fans Everywhere!
Allow me to introduce myself - I am a somewhat struggling
art student, and dyed in the wool Dad’s Army Fan, and I’m
trying to finance my way through college without getting myself too
far into debt.
In order to achieve this I have been using my artistic talents to try
and make a little cash. My first project has been to produce a set of
eight post cards, based on the Dad’s Army characters.
I have been a fan of the series for quite some time, so it has become
something of a labour of love, but I think you will agree, the end result
is quite impressive. Click on each image for a larger picture.
The art work on these postcards is my own work, and I have paid for
printing them from my own pocket. Now I need to sell them.
I am hoping to sell them via the internet, and here is your chance to
own an original set of the eight Dad’s Army postcards you can
see displayed on this page. If this method of sale is unsuccessful,
I will have to take to the streets with a suitcase a la Joe Walker and
try to tout my wares that way!
These postcards of the Magnificent Seven are unique (it’s totally
true to say “You can’t get them in the shops",) there
are eight in a set, come bound in authentic war time brown paper, are
limited edition in that all I could afford was a print run of 500, and
their sale would also see a struggling artist through another half term.
The price for a set of eight cards is £3.00 plus 50 pence postage
and packing, or £5.00 for two sets of cards plus 50 pence postage
and packing.
If you are interested please send me an e-mail, and I will contact you
very soon.
Thank you for your attention.
